This collection of rubber wares are composed from polyurethane, a derivative of petroleum which comes from ancient organic matter. Formally crafted into an array of objects, each one showcasing a naturally occurring color dictated by the material. In this right, the material is uv sensitive, washable, and in accordance with California’s Proposition 65.
The form of the Tissue Box draws from the organic vitality latent in the material itself. Through these works, I aim to honor the subtle choreography of care alongside the impermanence of both our state, and that of the material.
At it’s base, the box features a raw, unpolished steel foot.
