This collection of rubber wares are composed from polyurethane, a derivative of petroleum which comes from ancient organic matter. Formally crafted into an array of vessels, each one showcasing a naturally occurring color dictated by the material. In this right, the material is uv sensitive, washable, and in accordance with California’s Proposition 65. The vessels can hold water and thus offer an abundance of uses.
These vessels formally reference the industrial grain silos scattered across farmlands. The material is both a time stamp of creation, as well as a nod to its continuity. Their effect is an homage to the cycle of birth and decay present in all things.
