This body of work materialized through an organic and temporal process. Rubber, which had naturally oxidized within our studio over the course of four years, became the field of this exploration.

These ‘rubber scraps’ are themselves a salvaged material born from the benzene distillation process. They were accumulated and appreciated for the distinct way studio conditions produced their tonal qualities. Their material became a narrative of time, atmosphere and interaction, with no dyes or additives to interrupt this organic process.

What I offer here is a collection urns in a run of _____. Their form reflects the necrogenic essence inherent in the material, and their shapes recall both the finality and the continuity that the material suggests. Through this work I aim to immortalize the quiet persistence, the spinal thrum of decay and rebirth.
